Getting Arty

Year Two have had a very creative week since returning to school after half term. Children brought in their creations from home that they'd done as part of their holiday homework. They had a fabulous time feasting on an edible treasure chest and getting their pirate ships into action on the imaginary ocean.

The children also put some finishing touches to their artwork based on the Northern Lights, which was part of their work on the Polar Regions. The children have recreated scenes that inspired them using wax, watercolour paints that the children blended together to create their own custom colours, and black paper to create the silhouettes of the trees. What a talented bunch!
