Nursery Practitioner

Full Time | All Year Round | Immediate Start Available

We are delighted to share that our Nursery at Clevelands Preparatory School continues to grow, now welcoming children from 6 months to 4 years. As our provision expands, so does our team.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a nurturing, ambitious and forward-thinking setting where every day shapes a child’s earliest experiences of learning.

As a Nursery Practitioner, you will play a vital role in creating a safe, stimulating and caring environment where children feel secure, valued and inspired to explore. You will support babies and young children during their most important developmental years, guiding their social, emotional and cognitive growth through purposeful play and meaningful interactions.

About the Role and You

Contract Type: Full-time, 7:30 am to 6:00 pm, All year round

Salary: Based on experience.

Start Date: Available for an immediate start.

We are seeking a committed and enthusiastic practitioner who:

  • Holds a Level 3 Early Years qualification, or Level 2 and is willing to train towards Level 3
  • Demonstrates excellent communication skills
  • Has a warm, approachable and professional manner
  • Understands the EYFS framework and child development
  • Has knowledge of safeguarding, health and safety procedures
  • Works well as part of a team
  • Brings a patient, caring and child-centred approach to their practice

 

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Supporting children’s learning and development through engaging activities and structured play
  • Assisting with personal care routines with sensitivity and professionalism
  • Promoting good nutrition and positive mealtime experiences
  • Maintaining a safe, stimulating and well-organised room environment
  • Working collaboratively with colleagues and communicating effectively with parents
  • Upholding safeguarding and welfare standards at all times

Desirable:

  • Paediatric First Aid certificate
  • Safeguarding Children Level 1 training
