Year Three's visit to the Police Air Support Unit
Year Three went to visit the National Police Air Service Unit at Barton, as part of their Topic work on ‘The History of Flight’. They saw the helicopter take off and land, watched a presentation about how the helicopter is used to fight crime and rescue people and participated in a super question and answer session with one of the police officers who works on the helicopter. Finally they had a tour of the helicopter and were allowed to sit in the navigator’s seat.
