Recorder Recital

The Junior pupils performed together ‘My Friend Scat’ and ‘How Do You Do’. Year Five performed ‘Funnybone Boogie’ as a class recital.

For the last twelve months the children have been learning to develop a whole range of skills, including developing their listening skills (by performing with each other and with a backing track); note reading skills; muscle memory; technical control and coordination.

Research has shown that reading, listening and performing music develops certain parts of the brain that help to enhance learning, concentration and improve your mood. This is the first time that the pupils have performed for the whole school. What a fabulous achievement and they should all be very proud. We hope to be able to invite parents and families along for our next performance, soon. See Facebook for a video of their performance.
