Year One took us to the other side of the world today with their fact filled assembly on New Zealand. They told us lots of fascinating facts about this amazing country. Did you know the heaviest insect in the world is found in New Zealand. It is called the Giant Weta and its favourite food is carrots! New Zealand has the longest place name in the world: 

Taumatawwhakatangihangakoaauauotamateapokaiwhenuakitanatahu! It is a hill in New Zealand. 

The highlight of the assembly was Year One performing the Haka. The All Blacks have some new stars waiting in the wings. Amazing! Well done Year One!
