Mr Jeremy Michelson, a freelance R.E. teacher, came into school to teach Year Five children about the Jewish festivals of Passover and Purim. The children enjoyed hearing the story of Esther and how she triumphed over adversity. Mrs Fell kindly made some ‘Haman’s Ears’, which are Jewish cakes eaten during Purim.

They also learned about the symbolism of the food on the Seder Plate which is associated with the Passover meal.
