Chess Competition
On Saturday, 10 of our girls took part in an all Girls chess championship. This was a national standard competition and schools had travelled from Nottingham, Newcastle, York and Merseyside to compete in these Northern Semi-Finals. Our girls all played with an intensity and focus that made everyone at Clevelands really proud.
In their last game our A team defeated Nottingham, the eventual runners up, 2 boards to 1.
The organiser, Julian Clissold, was so impressed with our girls that he has invited us to send some of our girls to a National competition to represent Manchester. This is an incredible honour. A massive well done to all the girls.
