As part of their Topic work on the Ancient Egyptians, Year Three have been learning about hieroglyphs, the Ancient Egyptians’ use of symbols and pictures to write words. The children designed a cartouche – a carved tablet – with their name written in hieroglyphs and then made it in clay and painted it.
