Head Teacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to Clevelands Preparatory School

It is a real pleasure to welcome you to Clevelands Preparatory School.

As Executive Headteacher of Clevelands, alongside my role as Headteacher of The Chadderton Preparatory Grammar School, I feel privileged to be part of two wonderful school communities that share a commitment to helping every child thrive.

For me, the heart of a successful school lies in its people. I have always believed in the importance of knowing every child as an individual, listening to parents and building strong, positive relationships between home and school. These values are central to my approach to leadership and are very much at the heart of what makes Clevelands so special.

Clevelands is a school with a proud history, a warm and welcoming atmosphere and a strong sense of community. Our small class sizes allow us to recognise each child's individual strengths, encourage their curiosity and provide the personal attention they need to grow in confidence and achieve their very best.

We are rightly proud of our academic achievements, including our 100% pass rate in 11+ entrance examinations and our excellent record of preparing pupils for leading grammar and independent schools. However, I firmly believe that education is about so much more than academic results. It is about developing happy, confident, kind and resilient young people who are ready to embrace the opportunities that lie ahead.

Our dedicated staff provide an exciting and well-rounded education, enriched by specialist teaching in subjects including French, Music, Forest School and Performing Arts. We want every child to discover what inspires them, develop a genuine love of learning and feel confident enough to challenge themselves and try new things.

As we look to the future, my priority is to build upon everything that makes Clevelands such a special school, while continuing to develop the opportunities and experiences we offer our pupils. Working closely with our talented staff, children and families, I am committed to ensuring that every child feels valued, supported and encouraged to reach their full potential.

Above all, I want Clevelands to be a place where children are happy, where parents feel listened to and where everyone shares in the pride of watching our pupils flourish.

I would be delighted to welcome you to visit our school, meet our wonderful pupils and staff, and experience for yourself the warmth, enthusiasm and sense of belonging that make Clevelands such a lovely place to learn and grow.

I look forward to meeting you and your family.
