Head Teacher's Welcome

A warm welcome to Clevelands Preparatory School

It is a great privilege to introduce myself as the Head Teacher of Clevelands Preparatory School. Clevelands is a very special place: a close-knit, nurturing community where every child is known personally, celebrated for who they are, and supported to flourish both academically and personally.

At Clevelands, we believe that education should inspire a lifelong love of learning, foster curiosity, and empower each child to achieve their very best. We are proud of our outstanding record of success, including a 100% pass rate in 11 Plus entrance examinations and a rich tradition of pupils moving on to leading grammar and independent schools. However, success at Clevelands is measured in much more than results.

It is reflected in the confidence, resilience, kindness, and creativity of every pupil who walks through our doors.

Our small class sizes, expert teaching, and specialist subject provision — from French and Music to Forest School and Performing Arts — ensure that every child receives a broad, exciting education tailored to their individual needs and interests.

At the heart of Clevelands is a vibrant, supportive ethos where children’s voices are heard, where pastoral care is strong, and where each pupil’s potential is nurtured. Staff are free to work autonomously which allows for creativity and passion to be embedded deep into our curriculum offering. Our community spirit extends far beyond the classroom, through charity events, leadership opportunities, and a strong emphasis on developing well-rounded, thoughtful young people.

I warmly invite you to come and visit us, to meet our wonderful pupils and staff, and to experience the warmth, energy and ambition that make Clevelands such a special place to learn and grow.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
