We sent a Year 4/5 team to the Bolton U10s Girls Finals at Ladybridge FC this week.

The girls were very excited and were coming up with nicknames for the team and pre-match chants to psychologically pump the adrenaline (note the lack of tactics at this point).

Once the matches actually started our girls came out of the blocks and were superb. They had five group games. They won 3 and drew 2, ending up as group winners. This lead to a semi-final v Sacred Heart which they won 2 0.

So off to the final where they met a very good Markland Hill team, who beat us 2 0. So it was silver medals and runners up, but the whole school can be very proud of these girls. They showed tenacity, enthusiasm and played every match with a smile on their faces.
