Year Three conducted an investigation using magnets. They had to predict which magnet was the strongest by linking paperclips to one of three magnets.

Year One took a step back in time during their toy workshop this week.

Last night, the Clevelands sporting success story continued as we entered the Bolton Schools Hockey Competition.

This week, as part of both our Science and English work, Year Two have written and followed some instructions to make their own slime! The children needed to work carefully and scientifically in order to get their slime recipe just right, but they also needed to get messy in the process.

We took a mainly Year Five team to Westholme School for our second football tournament of the year.

As part of their Design Technology unit of work on ‘Photo Frames’, Year Three children had to learn to use a hacksaw to make a frame out of wood so that the photograph would be secure. 

Reception Class have been comparing the weight of objects and trying to guess which is heavier or lighter.

Our chess team travelled to St. Maxientius, where they competed in Round 2 of the Bolton League.

Year Four Completed a super lesson in maths reasoning. They worked in pairs and discussed how to solve some tricky calculations that challenged them all.

The children in the Nursery have been learning about water this half term in their topic lessons.

The nursery children are continuing to learn about the topic of water.

As part of their Topic work on the Ancient Egyptians, Year Three have been learning about hieroglyphs, the Ancient Egyptians’ use of symbols and pictures to write words.

Year Two went to visit Christ church, Heaton, as part of their R.E. work on Christianity.

For thanksgiving, the Nursery children celebrated by creating some beautiful turkeys in their craft lesson.

Our Year Five and Six Basketball Team took part in the Bolton Schools’ Championship this evening.
