Five members of Year Four went to St. Joseph's RC High School last night to compete in the first of two finals. They completed three tasks, which were Floor Exercise, Body Management and Vaulting. The atmosphere was incredibly tense as the room fell silent for each round. The children all performed superbly and saved their best performances for the Finals. As the results were read out the children were thrilled to hear that they were Gold Medal winners, and to top off an amazing evening we had two of the top three individual gymnasts, with one girl claiming the bronze medal and one boy claiming the silver. We now await the scores from the second finals as only one school can go through to represent Bolton in the Manchester Youth Games, and this will depend on final team scores.
