Clevelands started the new school year with their first full season as league members.

Six rounds take place across the year, with A and B Team Leagues operating. The A team had some really tough matches but came out with a creditable 3 wins and a draw which helped them to 4th place in the A team league. The B Team were a player down, but played some magnificent chess and recorded seven wins and a draw.

Every player recorded at least one win, with two players winning both of their matches. This led to them being crowned the winners of their league for Round 1. So Clevelands B Team have won our first ever chess trophy and it will be displayed proudly in our school until Round 2.
