Anglo-Saxon Style

Year Four have created colourful brooches similar in style to those worn by Anglo Saxon settlers to fasten their cloaks over one thousand years ago. The children studied pictures of real brooches that have been uncovered by archaeologists. They had symmetrical patterns and coloured jewels. The children then designed their own patterns and used metallic pens, jewels, card, and pins to make their own brooches; each one beautiful and unique.
