Headmistress' Welcome

A warm welcome to Clevelands Preparatory School

I am thrilled to have been appointed as the new Headteacher at Clevelands Preparatory School. Having spent eight wonderful years as a teacher and Deputy Head at this school, I am now eagerly looking forward to leading Clevelands as we embark on a journey of growth and excellence in education.

This is a happy and thriving Prep School for children aged 2 – 11, consisting of a Pre-Prep and a Nursery which is now taking babies from 6 months to 4 years old. Clevelands holds a special place in my heart, and I am passionate about providing the best education for our pupils.

As a family-orientated school, we take immense pride in creating a safe and caring atmosphere where each child feels supported and valued. With inclusivity at our heart, we recognise each child’s unique qualities and needs. We believe that providing a nurturing, happy, and loving environment is essential, whilst understanding the importance of a high-quality curriculum. Our aim is to give children the time and space they need to develop through excellent teaching and access to a wide range of opportunities and experiences.

During the early years of nursery and school, children lay the foundation for their lifelong learning journey. We understand this critical period and strive to help them develop essential skills that will support their love for learning and enable them to be the best version of themselves.

Our curriculum is carefully designed to include an array of enrichment and social opportunities. Amongst these is our Forest Schools Programme. Nestled in beautiful woodlands, our school provides the perfect setting for outdoor exploration and learning. Throughout the year, children engage in various outdoor activities that not only bring them joy but also rapidly boost their skills and confidence. Outdoor learning has also been found to have a profoundly positive impact on the well-being and mental health of our pupils.

I extend a warm invitation for you to reach out and arrange a visit or ask any questions you may have. Our doors are always open, and I would be delighted to meet you and your child personally. I am excited for us to work together in the coming years, as we continue to grow and thrive as a school community.

We look forward to welcoming you soon!
